WHY CHOOSE JOY PERFORMING ARTS

For nearly four decades, families have trusted Joy Performing Arts to provide more than dance training; we pour into the whole dancer.

  • Faith-Based Foundation: Christ-centered instruction woven naturally into every camp and class

  • Confidence & Character Development: Encouraging leadership, kindness, and resilience

  • Strong Technique & Training: Quality instruction from experienced, YPAD-certified staff

  • Community & Belonging: A studio that feels like family, where every child is known and valued

Here, excellence and encouragement go hand in hand.

“Being surrounded by a prayerful, worshipful, and faithful community played a huge role in bringing me back to the Lord. It’s not just a studio; it becomes a family.”

- Audrey Herrera, JPA Student

“When I pick her up after class, she is always joyful, which tells me that love is being poured into her at Joy. Miss Rachel is thoughtful not just about dance, but about how to be a good friend and healthy in mind, body, and soul.”

- Teri Petersen, JPA Parent

“Miss Rachel invests in each dancer to ensure they feel confident in class. We have loved Joy for over ten years.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need prior experience?

No experience is required.

At Joy Performing Arts, we believe every child is created with purpose and potential. Our summer programs are designed to meet dancers where they are, encouraging growth in skill, confidence, and character — whether this is their first class or they’ve been dancing for years.

What makes JPA different from other studios?

Joy Performing Arts is a Christ-centered studio where faith, excellence, and encouragement are intentionally woven into everything we do. Through age-appropriate scripture, prayer, and positive leadership, we aim to develop not only strong dancers but confident, kind, and grounded young people who know they are deeply valued.

How are camps and classes different?

We offer two distinct summer experiences, both rooted in the same faith-based mission:

Summer Camps (Ages 4–9): Half-day camps that blend dance, creativity, scripture-based instruction, and games in a themed experience.

Summer Classes (Ages 2–Adult): Weekly classes focused on technique, consistency, and continued growth, with Christ-centered values modeled in every class.

Families are welcome to choose the option that best fits their dancer’s age and season.

What should my child wear?

Camps: Comfortable play clothes that allow easy movement

Classes: Dancers should wear dancewear and appropriate shoes, with flexible summer guidelines and no required colors or styles.

How will my child be cared for at the studio?

Your child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being matters to us.

All classes and camps are led by background-checked, CPR/ & AED-certified, YPAD-certified staff who strive to model Christ-like leadership, encouragement, and care. We create a structured, developmentally appropriate environment where dancers are prayed over and celebrated.

Parents may watch classes from our lobby via a live-streamed TV. Camps are primarily drop-off, allowing campers to build independence in a safe and nurturing space.

What if my plans change?

To hold your dancer’s spot, summer camps and classes require a 50% deposit at registration, with the remaining balance due one month before the start date. Deposits are non-refundable.

We understand summer schedules can be busy, and we’re always happy to talk through options if questions come up before registering.
