Performance & Competition Company Interest Meeting
Wednesday, April 24th at 8:15pm
The Company interest meeting will provide prospective parents and students with an overview of our dance companies, including the level of commitment required and the opportunities for performances and competitions. We will also answer any questions that parents may have an provide information on the calendar for the 2024-2025 season.
This meeting is recommended but not required for participation in the 2024-2025 dance company season.
Competition Company Auditions
Friday, April 26th,, 7:00pm-9:00pm
The studio is open for warm-up at 6:30pm
Our competition company auditions are an opportunity for dancers to showcase their technical abilities and performance skills as well as practice their audition skills. Dancers will be required to learn and performance choreography in various dance styles. Dancers do not need to prepare choreography of their own prior to the audition. The dress is professional; leotards, tights, and hair styled in a bun are preferred.
Participation in the audition does not guarantee a competition team placement. There is a $10 fee to audition.
Summer Requirements
Performance Company Intensive
Cost $145
September 6th - 4:30 PM - 9:30 PM
September 7th - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Performance Company members are required to attend a weekend intensive in September. This intensive allows them to learn choreography for the upcoming season, train their technique, and bond as a team before their first event of the season.
Competition Company Intensive
Cost $225
July 29th - August 2nd - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Competition Company members are required to attend a week-long intensive in August. This intensive prepares them for the new season with a focus on leadership, teamwork, dance technique & choreography.
Dance Company
Being a part of a JPA Dance Company allows dancers to grow in confidence, artistry, performance, and technique. Company members enhance their dance training through extra class hours, leadership training and application, and more performance opportunities during the year.
Performance Company
Ages 8+
Performance Company allows dancers to hone their performance skills and dance technique. They participate in community performances throughout the year. This company has a lighter commitment level and cost than our competition team.
Competition Company
Ages 11+ by Audition Only
Competition Company offers the opportunity to compete in regional dance competitions. Competition team dancers are also eligible for solos and other small-group choreography. This company requires a more intensive dance schedule and time commitment throughout the year.
